Harvest Hands CDC Counseling Internship Program
The Harvest Hands CDC counseling internship offers a range of clinical experiences for current masters-level, clinical counseling graduate students who are interested in working with children, adolescents, and families. Interns in our program will gain experience providing individual, group, and family counseling, psycho-educational seminars, school consultations and activity-based therapy. This internship fulfills the combined requirements for both the clinical practicum experience (100 hours) and the clinical internship (600 hours). Internship opportunities are available beginning in January or in June.
The theoretical orientation for counseling approaches in this practicum is strongly influenced by the practicum student’s individual clinical supervisor. In general, students have the opportunity to gain experience and supervision in solution oriented therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, Jungian Sandplay therapy, Mountain Method play therapy, and activity therapy.
